Ring Sizing
There are many ways to work out your ring size; here are a few options you can try:
Option 1: Measure a Ring You Already Own (AU Sizes)
Best for: If you already have a ring that fits the intended finger.
-
Choose a ring that fits well
Use a ring that fits the correct finger on the correct hand (remember, your dominant hand may be slightly larger). -
Measure the internal diameter
Lay the ring flat and measure straight across the inside of the ring (not including the band) using a ruler or caliper. Note the measurement in millimetres (mm). -
Match it to an AU size chart
Use the diameter to find your corresponding Australian ring size. Here’s a quick reference:
Internal Diameter (mm) | AU Ring Size |
---|---|
15.7 mm | J |
16.1 mm | K |
16.5 mm | L |
16.9 mm | M |
17.3 mm | N |
17.7 mm | O |

Best for: 100% accuracy, especially for engagement or wedding rings.
Visit a local jeweler and ask them to measure your finger. It’s fast, free, and ensures peace of mind—especially if you’re planning something special.

-
Slip the tool onto your finger and adjust until it feels comfortably snug.
-
Read the size indicated on the tool.
